Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Moab

Arrive in Salt Lake City, Denver, Grand Junction or Las Vegas where you pick up your rental car and drive towards Moab. More information about possible flights can be found at the bottom of the document. Depending on your arrival time, we will book a hotel for you in Moab or a hotel on the route.

Day 2: Check Arches National Park of your bucketlist

Today you will discover Arches National Park.

Arches is known for its impressive rock formations and balancing rocks such as the Courthouse Towers, Windows Section, Fiery Furnace, Devils Garden, Klondike Bluffs and the Balanced Rock. There are over 2000 natural bridges (arches), including the Landscape Arch, Double Arch, Double O Arch, and Delicate Arch.

We provide lunch for you in the park. After this, you can hike Devil's Garden. The 11-kilometer-long hiking trail meanders along beautiful arches, red rocks and whimsical shapes. A perfect hike to fully experience Arches.

In the afternoon you can relax at the swimming pool of your hotel.

Optional:

- discover Arches on a guided jeep safari (optional), Drive over steep rocks, through a valley and along sand dunes. Along the way, pass magical rock formations like Marching Men, Tower Arch, and the Eye of the Whale. You will also drive past dinosaur remains. Utah is known for its prehistoric remains. The dino footprints are immortalized in the canyons. You will also find ancient rock paintings of ancient Indian tribes in various places here.
- take a sunset cruise in the evening with dinner on the Colorado River

Day 3: Cycle from Canyonlands to Dead Horse Point State Park

Watch the sun rising above National park 'Canyonlands', while enjoying breakfast. Canyonlands is one of the most rugged areas of the United States. It's one big maze of gorges and ravines through which the Colorado River and Green River meander. Steep rock faces, impressive rock formations and breathtaking views of the Red Rock Country.

Take a hike with a breathtaking view of the red rocks. You choose how far and challenging you make the hike.

Cycle along the scenic highway through Canyonlands National Park towards the next highlight: Dead Horse State Park.  You cycle over the Island in the Sky, a plateau where you fall from one surprise to the next. Dead Horse State National Park is a gem to visit by bike. You cycle on a road with deep ravines and vast canyons on both sides. 200 years ago, cowboys used this narrow canyon as a natural paddock for wild mustangs. The strong horses they took with them, the weak they left to die of hardship. Hence the name.

We are waiting for you with lunch at the very tip of Dead Horse State. With a view of the canyons and the Colorado River 2000 feet below.

Continue cycling to Moab (downhill). The road leads past Monitor and Merrimac, 2 imposing mountains that dominate the landscape. They are named after battleships during the American Civil War.

Day 4: Cycle from green mountains to the Red Rock desert

In the morning we drive you to the La Sal Mountains. You decide where you are dropped and how long you make the bike ride.

If we drop you at the top, the route is mostly downhill over a scenic highway that goes from alpine scenery to Far West landscape with red-colored canyons. You pass Castle Valley and have a picnic in the tiny village of Castle Town.

You will stay in the Red Cliff Lodge, a unique place with private lodges overlooking the Colorado River. In the Grill Cowboy you can have lunch and dinner with a view of the Red Rock Cliffs, the ocher canyons and the rapids in the river.

Red Cliffs Lodge is also home to Castle Creek Winery, Utah's largest winery. Here you can do a wine tasting in the afternoon with a view of the Colorado. In addition to the tasting, you can visit a film and western museum. It is no coincidence that this dramatic landscape has been the setting for several Western films, including John Wayne.

Day 5: Cycle and Hike the Fisher Towers

Cycle to the Fisher Towers, some unusual towers made of Moenkopi sandstone. Discover the towers on foot. Exchange your bike for a scenic kayaking adventure on the Colorado river. (optional)

You will again dine and sleep in the Red Cliff Lodge.

Optional:
- Indulge in the Wild West on the back of a horse. A ranger will take you into the rugged desert. Be amazed by the iconic views of Castl2 Valley, a one in a lifetime experience!

Day 6: Rest day, scenic flight or extra hike.

Today you decide what you want to do. You can take a walk or bike ride, for example, along ancient petroglyphs of the Navajo & Ute Indian tribes. You can also see the fossilized footprints of Raptors or T'rexes or go to the dinosaur museum.

Is a parachute jump still on your bucket list? Then don't hesitate, because there is no better place than here! You get a scenic flight over the breathtaking Canyonlands and an adrenaline rush for the same price. The scenery from above is super impressive. Or how about a balloon flight at sunrise to end your unforgettable journey?

Utah

Utah: America´s best kept secret.
