Ride like a real cowboy through the Wild West of Europe: the Sierras of Andalusia.
Gallop across extensive plains, surrounded by imposing mountain ranges where vultures nest. This is a trek through nature parks, far away from civilization. You sleep in a beautiful lodge in nature and spend one night under the stars in the park. You ride on fit horses that were born in this wild area. On this guided and fully supported adventure you enjoy delicious lunches and three-course dinners.

Day 1: Arrive in Malaga/ Sevilla and transfer to the ecolodge
You arrive at the airport of Malaga or Sevilla. We provide a taxi that takes you to the ecolodge on the edge of the Sierra de Grazalema natural park. (2 hours drive)
This biosphere reserve covers more than 53,000 hectares and extends across the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz. It is famous for its spectacular landscape of rugged limestones, cliffs and gorges. You feel like you're in an American western movie!
We welcome you with a drink on the magnificent terrace. You feel like you'r in paradise in the swimming pool between the rocks. You start your adventure with a three course meal with local products and wines.
Day 2: Gallop like John Wayne through the European Wild West
After breakfast the trek starts. Today you will cover about 20km.
You walk through cork tree forests and gallop across vast plains like John Wayne in the Far West. Rugged rock formations and forest paths take you to a beautiful valley, enclosed by impressive rocks. Here we provide a picnic lunch.
Experienced riders cross the mountain, partly on horseback, partly on foot. Less experienced riders hike around the mountain. The nature on the other side is overwhelming. You are now in the heart of the nature park.
You gallop in a straight line - along the sierras - to your sleeping place today. The tents, cold drinks and dinner are waiting for you. The horses are standing loose around the tents. A unique night under the stars awaits.
option to take you back to the lodge by car and sleep there - transfer is included
Day 3: Wake up in a meadow. Cross the mountainrange.
You wake up, with the horses in an improvised meadow next to the tents. You can refresh yourself in a nearby spring and enjoy an extensive breakfast.
We leave for a trek of about 15 kilometers. The first part of the ride is on a picturesque road between rugged mountains. You will see the vulture populations nesting against the mountain peaks and enjoy breathtaking panoramas.
For the first time we see a beautiful, white village in the distance, Montejaque. The path winds up and takes you along a narrow forest path. You continue through a magical forest and along and through a shady river.
In the evening you relax by the pool and enjoy another three-course menu.
Day 4: Optional: discover historical Ronda
Extend your trek by one night and go on horseback to the fairytale beautiful Ronda. Characteristic is the deep 'El Tajo' gorge with the impressive bridge 'Puente Nuevo' from the 18th century. The bridge is known as one of the most beautiful in Spain.
Today Ronda is a lively town with a unique atmosphere. You can visit the bullring, which is one of the oldest in the country at 235 years old. In the evening it is pleasant to spend time in the picturesque street and squares with numerous typical bars and restaurants.
Spent the night in a charming Andalusian hacienda. After this mini city trip, you will again trek through unspoiled nature to your lodge.
Day 5: Taxi transfer back to the airport
After a quiet morning in the lodge, we provide a transfer to the airport. Or you can extend your trip:
- extend your horse riding trip by 1 or 2 nights. An extra night in nature or a night in the beautiful city of Ronda.
- extend by a few days on the bike through the White Villages
- take a city trip to historic Malaga, on the coast.
